Samurdhi Program

Obtaining Samurdhi Beneficiaries 

The division of Palindanuwara divisional secretariat has been divided into three “Samurdhi” Zones as Baduraliya, Pelada and Morpitiya.

Samurdhi Zones “Baduraliya” and “Pelada” Consist of 15 Grama Niladara divisions and the Zone “Morapitiya” Consist of 13 Grama Niladari divisions.

Three Samurdhi Community Banks have been established for three Samurdhi Zones and one Samurdhi development officer has been appointed for each grama niladhari division.  Supervision of Samurdhi banks is done by Samurdhi Community union.

While the activities of Samurdhi Community banks, the community bank union and the institutional activities of Samurdhi development officers are supervised by  the head office which is established in the divisional secretariat  and a head office manager has been appointed for it.
